Summary of Facts:

Since June 7, 1967 , the Palestinian territory has been under occupation by the Government of Israel. It has been constantly shrinking the boundaries of this territory, imprisoning, torturing and killing Palestinians, for years thanks to the support of Western governments. Palestinians are not allowed to leave the territory and their freedoms are constantly being curtailed.

There have been many conflicts and acts of resistance by many countries over the years, but all have failed.

Adding to this misfortune, a terrorist organization named Hamas took control of Gaza in 2007.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas attacked, wounded, hostaged and killed scores of Israeli civilians, including at a rave party , according to ABC News.

The Israeli government has vowed revenge against Hamas, … continuing the oppression and genocide of the Palestinian people. Hamas is a terrorist organization with 30,000 members. The Gaza Strip is now a territory as big as Montreal or Oslo, with 2,000,000 people.

Under the pretext of fighting Hamas, the Israeli government has redoubled its cruelty in recent days against the Palestinian people, killing more than 3,000 of them and wounding more than 11,000. The Israeli government is bombing hospitals, homes, schools, cutting off Gaza’s water, electricity, food, and fuel, and treating them as animals in order to diminish empathy for them.

This is the definition of genocide . The Israeli government also uses phosphorus bombs illegally.

These are techniques that were used during the Second World War, and for which there are international laws to combat them. Israel is completely illegal, is on track to kill 2,000,000 million people in revenge for 30,000 people, and continues all this with the support of the majority of Western governments. Israel’s disinformation rages on, and must be constantly debunked.

Many people inform their audience about this. The more informed people are, the better they can understand the situation and fight misinformation.

As well as the publisher Devolver Digital:

If, like me, you’d like to help, you can:

  1. Learn about the subject, and read many sources about the conflict
  2. Inform your friends and family and your audience about this
  3. follow the instructions in this X/Twitter thread

If you’ve ever opened a history book and wondered how such a horrible thing could have happened without anyone intervening…

Well, it’s by looking elsewhere that this happens.

You don’t have to be Palestinian, Israeli, Muslim, Jewish, Christian or atheist to support anyone, you just need to be human.
