Theveny<\/strong> is a French entrepreneur living in Japan known for his large amount of videos on YouTube, and his multiple businesses.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When he films, he talks about his travels, his meals, his family life, entrepreneurship, corporate life, life in Japan and the particularities of this country.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He accumulates several YouTube channels: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/IciJapon\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/IciJapon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tev -Ici Japon<\/a> , <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@IciJaponCorp\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@IciJaponCorp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ici Japon Corp<\/a> , <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/c\/TevLouis\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/c\/TevLouis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tev &amp; Louis<\/a> .<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When he started his own business, he created online stores selling candy, clothing, calligraphy colored paper, Japanese retro video games, One Piece and Pok\u00e9mon cards, and Kanji learning apps. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And then one day &#8220;<strong>Tev&#8221; <\/strong>came across the ad of Ludovic&#8217;s video game collection on Ebay:<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Collection Ludovic\" width=\"735\" height=\"413\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/myaV4nRHPTQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He then got in touch with him, and saw the potential in this collection for a possible museum.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tev<\/strong> is also a fan of video games, and the preservation of video game heritage is close to his heart.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He then started talking to everyone, documented everything via multiple videos and set up a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kisskissbankbank.com\/fr\/projects\/odyssee\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.kisskissbankbank.com\/fr\/projects\/odyssee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">crowdfunding campaign for the Odyssey Project on KissKissBankBank.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I use the third person singular, but <strong>Tev <\/strong>doesn&#8217;t work alone, he has many employees who oscillate between multiple companies, videos and social networks.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this project, <strong>Tev <\/strong>has attracted the attention of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ecranpartage.ca\/en\/interview-florent-gorges-his-incredible-career\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8220;Florent Gorges&#8221;, the historian and entrepreneur of Omake Books<\/a><\/strong>, who joined him on the project, Marc &#8220;<strong>Marcus<\/strong>&#8221; Lacombe, veteran presenter of the TV channels GameOne and Nolife, and <strong>KenBogard <\/strong>, host, videographer and commentator among the well-known French personalities of the video game industry.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"On ouvre un mus\u00e9e du jeu vid\u00e9o en France\" width=\"735\" height=\"413\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/n-MRcGUeQZ4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CzQlWTWymJo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The President of the French Republic<\/a><\/strong> also welcomed this project.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Odyssey project<\/strong> is not an ordinary museum, it is first and foremost an entrepreneurial project, which will be treated as a place of entertainment for profit. <strong>Tev <\/strong>justifies this choice by his observation of the economic models of other museums. They often rely on public funding that varies depending on the government&#8217;s affinity with the subject of the issue.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As <strong>Tev <\/strong>is an entrepreneur, he wants to make sure that visitors to the <strong>Odyssey<\/strong> come several times, consume on site, enjoy the attractions, and check out the incredible video game collection.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He and his team have found that other museums are usually visited once, so there is little to no point in going back.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Ici Japon<\/strong> team therefore intends to have a sustainable business model, thanks to their extensive entrepreneurial experience.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The name of the project was chosen in reference to the first commercial video game console, the Magnavox Odyssey (Wikipedia entry in <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Magnavox_Odyssey\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Magnavox_Odyssey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">French<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Magnavox_Odyssey\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Magnavox_Odyssey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in English<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kisskissbankbank.com\/fr\/projects\/odyssee\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.kisskissbankbank.com\/fr\/projects\/odyssee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">successful crowdfunding campaign <\/a><\/strong>at 4541% (?!), the <strong>Odyssey project<\/strong> has raised 2 million euros and convinced more than 32419 contributors.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is only a first step before the museum exists.
