From October 6 to 8, 2023, the Stream-O-thon, organized by Lan JDL, will see nearly 50 streamers take turns on their own channels to raise funds for the Virtual Guardians Foundation.
“Making a Stream-O-Thon for the benefit of the Virtual Guardians Foundation as part of the Lan JDL is only natural for us,”
says Jean-Sébastien Caron, alias Pogo, vice-president of Lan JDL.
FGV’s solidarity values coincide with ours and its services, including its network of Digital Street Workers, are perfectly targeted to our customers. »
The Lan JDL in-person event will take place from October 6 to 8, 2023 at the Saint-Apollinaire multipurpose center. It includes a LAN section where participants have the opportunity to bring their own computer to network play, in addition to other activities and prize-winning opportunities.

About the Virtual Guardians Foundation
Founded in 2018 with a strong focus on ethical values, education, and prevention, FGV represents an online reference for individuals in distress, thanks in particular to the presence of digital street workers (TRN). At the same time, its fundamental mission is to promote a healthy and responsible use of the digital world. FGV is convinced that research and education are the most effective approaches to solving current problems. While these steps take time, they offer the potential for continuous progress and real change. https://gardiensvirtuels.quebec/
About Lan JDL
Since its creation in 2016, the JDL LAN has been an essential gathering point for Quebec video game players. It emerged directly from the gaming community of Quebec and has gradually gained fame over the years, becoming a must-attend event in the field.
In an effort to give back to the community where it was born and to combat one of its persistent problems, the LAN launched the Stream-O-Thon. In total, more than $165,000 was donated to foundations through this streaming event. The JDL LAN involves more than thirty volunteers and requires more than 2000 hours of work each year.
