Star Wars is a cult film saga that has been one of the forerunners in the sale of merchandise related to its universe. And who says popular franchise, says adaptation in video game. Today we decipher the old Star Wars titles released on current consoles and computers.

The games are all very different. It depends on the type of experience in the Jedi universe you want. Difficult to advise a particular title.

Be vigilant about the original release date of each of the games. The graphics will indeed be more or less elaborate or detailed, the older the game.

Racing game based on Pod races from Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.

The game takes up all the drivers and Tatooine’s journey presented in The Phantom Menace. It also adds several new courses, some on Tatooine, others on various planets. Several single-player modes, including a tournament mode, are available. It also offers a multiplayer mode, the format of which varies depending on the platform. Jake Lloyd and Lewis MacLeod, who played Anakin Skywalker and Sebulba in The Phantom Menace, reprise their roles in the game.

STAR WARS Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is a shooting video game oscillating between the first and third person. The game is the sequel to Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, released in 2002, and the fourth and final installment in the Star Wars: Jedi Knight series.

The single-player story, which takes place in the star wars extended fictional universe two years after Jedi Outcast, follows Jaden Korr, a new student at Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Academy under the tutelage of the protagonist of the previous games, Kyle Katarn. In the role of Jaden, players are tasked with investigating a cult of Black Jedi called the Disciples of Ragnos, while slowly learning the ways of the Force and engaging on either the light side or the dark side.

STAR WARS Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is a first- and third-person shooter video game. The game is the sequel to 1997’s Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, and the third main episode of the Star Wars: Jedi Knight series.

The single-player campaign, which takes place in the Star Wars extended fictional universe two years after Dark Forces II’s Mysteries of the Sith expansion, follows the return of protagonist Kyle Katarn, a mercenary working for the New Republic and former Jedi who cut his connection to the Force. Katarn must resume his Jedi habits to prevent a branch of the rest of the Empire, led by the Dark Jedi Desann, from giving his army the power of the Force.

STAR WARS: Knights of the Old Republic

This is a Star Wars role-playing game that was highly appreciated by the public when it was released.

The story of Knights of the Old Republic takes place nearly 4,000 years before the formation of the Galactic Empire, where Darth Malak, a Sith Dark Lord, unleashed a Sith armada against the Galactic Republic. The player’s character is a Jedi and must venture to different planets in the galaxy to defeat Malak. Players choose from three character classes (Scout, Soldier or Rogue) and customize their characters at the beginning of the game. They take turns fighting against enemies.

By interacting with other characters and making plot decisions, players can earn points from the light or dark side of the Force to determine their alignment.

STAR WARS Republic Commando

Star Wars: Republic Commando is a tactical first-person shooter video game.

Set in the Star Wars Legends extended universe, the game revolves around the Delta Squad, a special operations unit within the Galactic Republic Clone Army, consisting of four genetically upgraded clone soldiers, called “Clone/Republic Commandos”. Throughout the single-player campaign, the player takes on the role of the squad leader, RC-1138 (“Boss”), and completes various missions during the Clone Wars. Players can also indirectly control the actions of their teammates RC-1262 (“Scorch”), RC-1140 (“Fixer”) and RC-1207 (“Sev”) by giving different commands, which allow certain situations to be approached in several ways.

STAR WARS: The Force Unleashed

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is an action-adventure game.

The project bridges the gap between the first two Star Wars trilogies, acting as an origin story for both the United Rebel Alliance and the galactic civil war depicted in the original trilogy. The game features a new protagonist named “Starkiller”, a powerful Force user trained as Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, who is tasked with tracking down the surviving Jedi of the Great Jedi Purge while trying to keep his existence a secret. However, after being tasked with planting the seeds of what would become the Rebel Alliance, which Vader intends to take advantage of to overthrow the Emperor, Starkiller begins to question his own morality and slowly redeem himself.
