Camille and Laura, a Montreal video game about the routine of a single mother, has obtained a demo on the Steam platform.

Camille et Laura is a video game developed alone by Olivier Bouchard, founder of the BonjourBorzoi studio, with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts. The game is inspired by cartoons aimed at children to tackle contemporary issues with aplomb.

The game will also be a participant in the next Steam Next Fest which will take place in mid-October.

Game Description

This is Camille’s first week in primary school, one of the most important weeks in a child’s life. Play as Camille’s mother, Laura, and do your best to be an exemplary mother to her little family. Go to work, do daily chores, and try to raise your child as best you can.

Camille and Laura is an honest look at the realities of life and the daily struggles. Developed solo and inspired by children’s shows, I wanted to make a game that was both filled with fun and childlike excitement, while also acknowledging the extreme isolation and harshness of adult life.

This is a short narrative game that will take less than an hour and a half to complete.
