Quebec organizations that help families and their children include the Virtual Guardians Foundation.
I quote the site that explains its mission very well: “Founded in 2018, the Virtual Guardian Foundation is a registered Canadian charity whose mission is to be an Internet beacon for people in distress as well as to promote responsible use of digital technology.
The staff is made up of multinational and multicultural volunteers from the fields of health, education and e-sports. Although we have partnerships and activities in several countries, our conferences and in-person workshops are mainly made in Quebec.”
Created by the polymath François Savard, himself a father, it offers many solutions to support young Quebecers who play video games. Of course, if meetings and events are temporarily suspended during the pandemic, the team is available on the Foundation’s Discord server and ready to help.
(A Discord server is a chat server, (chat with keyboard on the Internet, “chat” in English) voice call and/or video, and even streaming. To consult Discord, it is possible to do so either:
- on a browser/browser/browser
- via the computer app available here.
- via the cellular app available here. )
It is of course with a joint assistance mission for parents and children that we recommend this organization.
