The DemoNights are from February 20 to 22, 2025. Here is an excerpt from the official press release:
“The Quebec Video Game Guild and Loto-Québec present DemoNights 2025. These three fun evenings broadcast live on Twitch and the official sale page on Steam will highlight 15 new Quebec games and their developers.
From February 20 to 22 at 7 p.m., DemoNights has been welcoming hundreds of thousands of people online for more than a decade, making this event, in tandem with the sale on Steam, an essential showcase for our local talent. In addition, three studio chef.es will discuss inclusivity and representativeness in Quebec video games. The interviews, presented by the Canada Media Fund, will highlight their journey and commitment to creating games with themes related to equity, diversity and inclusion.”
See you starting February 17 at 1 p.m. for the Celebration of the Quebec 2025 Games and from February 20 to 22 at 7 p.m. on Loto-Québec’s Twitch channel for the DemoNights 2025 evenings!
Personally, I know many Quebec developers and their productions in the list. I know how hard it is to make a play and I see them going through the obstacles as they go along.
This is a small personal selection according to my tastes, it doesn’t take away from the work and merit of each of these teams. Translation: don’t be offended, friends! 🙂
The games are not sorted by anything.
Jumping Jazz Cats
A multiplayer game with lots of cats playable locally and online. I’ve played there a few times at conventions and events, it’s really funny. So I’m recruiting 8 more potential cats to play at the time of the game’s release, in a few weeks.
Croak
A demanding platform game from every point of view. The gameplay is rigorous, the animation and graphics are top-notch. It will take a lot of dexterity to defeat this game. At worst, it will be a pleasure to see the speedrunners ride it, it’s so beautiful.
CitaDrill
At first glance, CitaDrill is not my kind of game, but I have seen the development team progress tremendously in 2 years. They participated in DYNAMO 1 and 5, they are there in all the playtests. They make a game for their audience, they take into account the feedback we give them. To be monitored.

Surfpunk
It’s beautiful! The artists of Double Stallion impress me with each of their productions, they manage to sell me each of their games just thanks to their artistic direction. Surfpunk looks very interesting.
Mecha
It is a 3D puzzle and platformer, inspired by Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, with an art direction inspired by Mega Man Legends among others. I’m tempted!
