MONTREAL, November 20, 2023 – GGaide , an annual philanthropic event benefiting Centraide, will return on December 6, 2023, highlighting 30 fascinating years of game development in Quebec. Tickets are already available for this day dedicated to knowledge, networking and charity.
Giving back as a multiplayer game
The GGaide, a Techaide initiative orchestrated by Behaviour Interactive, Rovio, and Tencent, with the support of LG2, provides an exceptional opportunity for the video game industry to come together, gain knowledge, and make a positive impact on the lives of those who need it most. This year’s goal is to raise $200,000 for United Way’s programs to fight social exclusion and poverty.
30 years of video game history in Quebec
This one-day conference taps into the enthusiasm and expertise of Quebec’s video game industry, a world leader employing more than 15,000 people, which has emerged over the past three decades as one of the world’s top five game development centers.
Moderated by Fred Bastien, renowned producer, director, animator and artist, the conference will explore this rich and colourful history while looking at the future of the Quebec video game industry through conferences and round tables on topics such as:
- An analysis by the Quebec Video Game Guild presenting the key ingredients of Quebec’s success in video games, followed by a panel on the future evolution of the Quebec video game industry, with the participation of Christopher Chancey.
- The impacts of Assassin’s Creed on the local industry, with Patrice Désilets and other major contributors.
- Behaviour Interactive, an international success story.
- The Artificial Intelligence Revolution and Its Influence on Video Games.
- And much more.
